Jan O (Mom) flew in this morning from Omaha. We grabbed her and sped to NIH where my pump was beeping in the elevator on the way up–didn’t know what it was at first, but just time to replace the bag. Nothing like waiting til the last minute. Typical me. Legna was our nurse today. She replaced the dressing and cleaned up the area from yesterday’s PICC placement. I told her everything was fine so far except for a tougher time sleeping than usual. 140 mg of prednisone twice a day can wire u up. She gave me some Ambien for use as needed. Overall, and being only the second day, feel the same–not much to report. Oh and Matty, I did ask about prescribing Marinol–I have to say, I’m not that hungry, so I just may have to get some! Course Doug H told me to get a hold of the real thing, but dunno if my employer would appreciate that.
Thanks all for the notes!
